Brief info

My name is Bernadette Brown. I am a certified Teacher and Nurse – a Bereavement Counsellor and an experienced Administrator of over 35 years.
Throughout my career journey, I have gathered experience through teaching both secondary and primary education, working in hospital and as an itinerant nurse. I have held various managerial positions, including my role as Management and Clinical Coordinator, for an American medical university’s Clinical Skills Department, as well as its Clinical Teaching Unit.
About nine years ago God took my passion for teaching, nursing and administration and placed a call upon my life to enter missionary work, full time. Little did I realize then, that my career choices were God’s way of preparing me for this special calling.
Currently, I work along with the local clinic, government office, schools and more inclusively – the community of Petite Martinique. I am able to embrace my work bringing to it my blended, skills, experience and qualification. There are many challenges on small islands, lack of resources, services, and unemployment, to mention a few. The goal of ICIS Grenada Inc is to establish a Centre of Influence, to help meet the challenges of the community in areas such as health, education, and personal development.
Our vision, is to create an environment that would serve to empower the people of Petite Martinique, by meeting felt needs. We are investing our hearts into community building, working for the people and working along with the people.
